Pir-Ork

As part of the Oldhammer Legacy Crew I decided to paint a Space Ork Pirate. I had an untouched miniature that had come free with a White Dwarf a long time ago and I fancied a go at sculpting a pirate  hat.

Here a some photos of the process:

And BOYL begins (well began…..over a week ago….)

Well just over a week after the event, I'm finally getting down to some blogging. (This will be no surprise to my elite [read as very few] followers. I am nothing if not consistent in my inability to blog regularly.)

So first day of BOYL saw me at GW central playing Inquisimunda (an adaption of Necromunda with more exotic warbands). The setting was simply (!?!) nine players [Axiom, Captain Crooks, Whiskey Priest,  Just John, Cheetor/Sho3box, Graham, Gadge, Asslessman, Paul and me] split into 2 factions. We played in some Tau ruins where the goal of the Faction that my Rogue trader supported wanted to gain information from the console at the top of the central tower, therefore our opponents' aim was to destroy it.

Moving Forward with the Nomads

It's been a long few months, with work and illness. I haven't posted as much as I wanted to, but I have been working on converting my Nomad gang for Confrontation.

Nomadic Youth

Since time is at a premium and I like to take time over painting, I have started the second member of my Nomad gang - the raw recruit.

He is based on the Ratskins brave with a handbow:

So far I've clipped off his skull pendant, topknot and club, as well as giving him a hand transplant.

The next step will be to start wrapping him up in clothes suitable for the Ash Wastes.

Leading the Nomadic Crusade

Well, I have finished converting my Nomad leader!

Here he is - just some basing to do before primer is applied:

Nomadic Fashions

First post of 2015 and I've made progress! Not much, but still progress!

Just a small bit of modelling today. I added the Inca Shawl and Pin to my Nomad leader. The pin is big, but after looking at some pics of the Peruvian inspiration for this cloak I'm happy with it.
